便可自由、任性地取材

在年邁175歲的老藤Freedom Shiraz之上

再添上些年輕一點的Shiraz，也是超過125歲的Ancestor Vines罷了

也就誕生了全新的酒款Lineage

這支Lineage 2018，只是酒莊推出的第二個年份

論優雅，不若我最鍾情的Pure Eden

論深度，又不像Freedom般圓滑和具層次感

反倒自成一閣略帶玩味，也帶點原始爆發力

有結構有活力也有潛力

James補充到，年產量多則一千少則數百

新年份香港也就分配到二十來瓶

但看過價錢…不斐

唯有慫恿友人在Order Form上多添數筆

落力討好酒友，這才是飲貴酒的生存之道吧！

A highly polished yet restrained Barossa Shiraz.

Lineage Shiraz 2018 is one of the latest releases from Langmeil.

Made from 100% Shiraz, it is selected from the estate’s oldest vine material, including oldest shiraz vines in the world: the 1843 Freedom Vineyard, as well as other extremely old plantings that qualify as Ancestor Vines (over 125 years old) under the Barossa Old Vine Charter.

Bright blue and dark berry fruit lead, followed by subtle floral lift and a measured meaty savoury nuance. Oak is clearly present but disciplined, shaping the mid-palate and adding depth rather than just sweetness.

Despite its breadth, the wine speaks softly. Tannins are fine and chewy, offering grip without force. Power is carefully held. Compared to Pure Eden’s silkier expression, Lineage leans towards firmness, tension and the raw beauty.
