Masseto 的名字，本身就帶著重量…

當看到 Decanter 為 2001 給出滿分 100 分

那份重量，彷彿又添上幾分

而這一瓶，還是 1.5L Magnum

不論物理或情理

重量與期待，都變得更重…

畢竟，前人早已替 Magnum 貼上

「更保真、更耐陳」的標籤…

只是，每次看到 100 分，

難免有些不踏實…

期待，

因為滿分酒好像提早預言了會有完美表現；

保留，

因為通往偉大的路上從來不乏落空的例子…

這支 2001，在陳年二十餘載後，

早已不是單靠力量、濃度或技術堆砌

果味、酸度、熟成香氣與結構，

各方終於找到了彼此的位置。

在 Magnum 的加持下，

骨子裡仍保留著一絲活潑的果感，

期待，終究沒有落空。

對於 100 分這回事，我也許仍有所保留。

但這一夜，

Masseto 2001 與「完美」之間的距離，

確實很近。

The wine opens with dense, dark blue fruit layered with mint, leather, meatiness and subtle truffle tones. Aromatics are expressive yet calm, carrying a sense of clarity and brilliance. On the palate, the texture unfolds gradually: quite inky at first, then velvety through the mid-palate, finishing with depth and freshness held together by finely tuned acidity. Magnum does age gracefully, hence, keeping the bright fresh fruit undertone.

There is richness, but no heaviness. Power, but no urgency.

The structure feels resolved and completed, allowing every element to settle into place seamlessly.

Perhaps perfection in wine is not about reaching the peak, but about arriving at a moment where nothing needs to be added, and nothing wishes to be taken away.

Everything is just right on the spot.
