自然酒在 Alsace 向來不陌生，
約有 15–20% 的葡萄園 已實行有機或生物動力法。
Catherine Riss 亦不例外，
常與 Rieffel、Rietsch、André Kleinknecht
並提為「Alsace 自然酒四人幫」

但也不要被「自然酒」三字嚇怕
她的 Pinot Noir 乾淨俐落，不造作。
開瓶便滲出近乎初摘玫瑰的清新芳香，
伴隨明亮、活潑的紅色果味。
那份通透洋溢的香氣，
隱約帶點糖果般的甜香，
那陣清甜糖感還有uplifting的香氣

與 whole bunch也脫不了關係吧！

她確實帶著自然酒的氣息，

偶爾浮現的肉香與菇菌調性，
為酒體添上些許層次，

Empreinte，法文意為「痕跡、印記」
但這支酒卻輕盈得彷彿不留痕跡

單寧細而巧、精而美
那種柔軟而清晰的觸感，
也正反映出 sandstone 的風土特色

她低聲細語似的，

是讓人慢慢忘憂的 Pinot Noir…

Catherine Riss is one of the quiet yet defining voices of Alsace natural wine.

Her Empreinte Pinot Noir is soft, transparent and gently expressive.

The nose opens with fresh red cherry and delicate floral notes, almost rose-like, lifted and airy. There is a subtle brightness to the aromatics, suggesting a gentle use of whole bunch, adding lift and touch on the structure.

On the palate, the wine is light and flowing. Tannins are fine, precise. A gentle mineral line runs through the wine, along with the airy and gentle delivery often associated with sandstone soils. There is a faint savoury nuance, lightly earthy and meaty.

A Pinot Noir that leaves its mark not through weight or power, but through poise.
