Monprivato Ca d’Morissio,
大概是世上唯一一款完全以 Michet 釀造的 Barolo,
自 1993 年, 這款孤高且為致敬獨具慧眼相中Monprivato葡萄園的Maurizio Mascarello 酒款始誕生。

相較於幾個最常見的Nebbiolo
Bolla 早因品質不穩而被棄用,
Rosé 已因基因差異被視為獨立品種,
Lampia 則是當今最常見的 Nebbiolo…
Michet 卻是 Lampia 染扇葉病病毒後的變種。

患病,使其結果率降低、果串更小、成熟更慢;
卻也因此,讓風味更為集中,結構更為細緻。
身子弱,難照料,
卻誤打誤撞成為 Nebbiolo 世界中最稀少、也最貴族的血脈。
難怪總有種纖弱女生的媚…

加上2004這個慢熱而均衡的年份。

The 2004 Barolo Riserva Monprivato Ca d’Morissio is exquisitely attractive.

The aromatics are strikingly layered, unfolding from rose petals and floral perfume to fresh berries, wild strawberries and hints of sandalwood. The wine was so elegant, yet remains firmly grounded by a subtle, insistent mineral core.

On the palate, the texture is almost seamless. Tannins are remarkably refined, almost fine grained in feel, building the linear structure. The mid palate carries gentle sweetness and depth without heaviness.

Made exclusively from the Michet clone of Nebbiolo, known for its naturally low yields and concentrated berries, Ca d’Morissio offers a more nuance and expressive interpretation of the site. The 2004 vintage, with its slow and even ripening, allows both vineyard and clone to speak in harmony.

A Barolo that does not rely on strength to impress, but persuades through grace, detail, and persistence.
