A Sangiovesse blended with 15% of Cabernet Sauvignon, and that’s a game changer!
It’s sort of like a Tignello formula, yet, the presentation is whole lot different.
Med garnet in color and med plus nosing intensity. Sort of Bordeaux alike. Delivering a lot of meaty, forest floor, violet, blue fruit, mushroom notes along with some coffee notes. He has a bold and rustic structure, showing good width yet bit lack of in-depth. Quite flat and single dimensioned on the palate. Though he delivers in a finesse way, he doesn’t have much to offer.
One of the biggest drawback from the Cabernet Sauvignon is that it is far too dominant. Hence, it masks the character as well as the bright acidity of Sangiovesse.
